Summary
A pair of vases, earthenware with tin-opacified lead glaze (Delft), of guglet form based on Islamic glassware, with elongated necks, bulbous knop and flared rims, octagonal bases, decorated in blue cobalt with chinoiserie flowers, marked EPK, Delft, The Netherlands, c. 1700-20.
Provenance
The 1909 Heirlooms at Tatton inventory records ‘15 Blue and White Delft Vases over bookcases’ in the library and acquired by Earl Egerton.
