Summary
Vase, one of two, from a three-piece garniture, hard-paste porcelain, in the Sèvres taste, of baluster shape on a narrow pedesestal base, painted in colours with a seated male and female figure in 18th century costumes in a park, signed ‘Mangier’ the reverse with a landscape, against a cobalt blue (bleu de roi) ground with raised gilding, base marked with interlaced L’s, and applied with ormolu mounts, France, c. 1875. Part of a garniture with TAT/C/71.
