Summary
Broth bowl, cover and stand (écuelle ‘ronde tournée’ and plateau ‘nouvelle forme avec anses à feuille de roseaux’), soft-paste porcelain, entwined branch handles, Sèvres, France, circa 1760-1800, later decorated with a turquoise (bleu céleste) ground and gilt scroll enclosures polychrome painted with exotic birds in the style of François-Joseph Aloncle, interlaced L’s in blue enamel and on the stand above ‘R’, probably redecorated in England, c. 1820-40.
