Summary
A pair of dishes (compotière oval), soft-paste porcelain, of shaped oval section, painted with a centre reserve of a ribbon-tied bouquet of roses, an inner gilt edge within a bleu céleste nouveau border bearing gilt floral swags, inscribed in blue enamel ‘Sevres’ over the painters mark ‘Y’ for Edmé-François Bouillat pére, and in gold ‘2000’ for the gilder Vincent jeune, Sèvres, Republican period, c. 1792-99, probably 1797.
