Summary
A Chelsea group of dancers by Joseph Willems, circa 1755-58. In the Meissen style, modelled as a man and woman in a lively pose with interlocking arms, he with his left arm and leg raised, wearing a puce frock coat and black breeches, she holding her apron in her left arm and raising her right foot, wearing a bright blue bodice and yellow skirt, upon a small mound base applied with flowers and leaves. Red anchor mark.
