Summary
A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded painted dial longcase clock. The dial signed Hugh Knight, Stone, Staffordshire. The moulded cornice over reeded columns, the trunk with corresponding reeded columns enclosing a crossbanded door with brass escutcheon, on panelled plinth base and bracket feet with shaped apron, the signed Roman dial with outer Arabic five minute divisions, subsidiary seconds below twelve and arched 'short mouth' calendar date aperture below the pierced hands flanked by flower sprays.
