Summary

A seventeenth-century English side table, ebonised beech, the moulded top with canted corners and supported on ebonised beech bobbin turned base joined by bobbin turned stretchers. One stretcher is missing. Top covered in textile cover.

Provenance

Knole and the majority of its furniture were accepted by HM Treasury in part payment of death duties and transferred to the National Trust in 1946.
