Summary
Proper left head curtain of crimson silk satin with paned applique and metal thread arabesque embroidery with strap work applique lower border and side border, crimson and white damask and yellow damask lining and narrow silver and silver gilt metal thread fringes. Part of 'The Spangled Bed', made in 1621 by Oliver Browne and John Baker, Upholsterers to the Great Wardrobe, for Anne Cranfield, Countess of Middlesex (d. 1670).
