Monochrome photographic print. View looking up Pleasant Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In the foreground, just beyond a weather boarded house is the Waverley Hotel which opened in 1876. Theodore Mander records in his diary on the 8th of October 1877 that on their arrival in Halifax they found the 'quiet and select Waverley Hotel quite full'. (Patricia Pegg- A Very Private Heritage.
