Summary
A beech and rush ladder-back single chair, one of six, part of a group of eight chairs comprising two open armchairs and six single chairs, British, 19th century, with five shaped and graduated horizontal back splats between two circular uprights with turned finials, the square rush seat with think wooden seat rails, on turned front legs terminating in pad feet on small shaped blocks, with chamfered square-section legs to the rear, two stretchers to each side, a single stretcher to the rear, and a single turned stretcher to the front.
