Summary
A stained oak spindle-back side chair, one of a pair, part of a group of three comprising an armchair and two side chairs, Lancashire/Cheshire, early/mid-19th century, with shaped top rail and two plain horizontal bars joined by two rows of decoratively turned spindles, all between a pair of uprights with turned tops, the rush seat with a pair of turned front legs terminating in pad feet on domes, the front legs joined by a turned stretcher, two spindle stretchers to each side, the rear square-section legs joined by a single spindle stretcher.
