Summary
A pair of carved, painted and parcel-gilt side or console tables, English, in the manner of William Kent, circa 1740, each with veined white marble slab top, above a frieze of Vitruvian scroll below an egg and dart border and with shells on the angles, hung to the front with a boldly carved lion mask, raised on foliate carved angled scroll legs carved with hanging paws to the inside surface and terminating in paw feet, the marble tops possibly associated.
