Summary
Broth bowl (ecuelle), cover and associated stand, one of two, porcelain, of shallow form with shell shaped handles, the cover with cockerel finial, and the deep stand with angular sides, enamelled in green, iron-red, yellow, manganese and black ('wucai' or five colours, also known as "famille-verte") with flowering plants and pheonix and the seeded green borders with medallions of birds or fish, the stands with ladies on a terrace within honeycomb border, China, Jingdezhen, circa 1700-20 (Kangxi period).
