Stand to a broth bowl (ecuelle) and cover, one of two, porcelain, the deep stand with angular sides is enamelled in green, iron-red, yellow, manganese and black ('wucai' or five colours, also known as "famille-verte") with ladies on a garden terrace with cranes and phoenix within a honeycomb border, China, Jingdezhen, circa 1700-20.
