Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Diana and Actaeon, ? Prague School, c.1600. A full-length figure of Diana, turned to right, facing, seated on ground, a crescent moon in her hair, wearing a loosly draped robe, exposing her legs to the thigh, a choker single strand neclace, her left arm raised, her right arm behind, a lightly draped figure of a boy standing, right, facing her.

first recorded in 1731 (no. A97); 1792 & 1764, no. 92; bequeathed by (Henry John) Ralph Bankes (1902 – 1981) to the National Trust, together with the estates of Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy and its entire contents in 1981
