Oil painting on panel, An Unknown Gentleman of the Yates Family, possibly British (English) School, mid-to late-16th century. A half-length portrait, turned slightly to the left, facing, beard and moustache, dressed in slashed jerkin with turned-down collar, revealing an embroidered vest; a coat of arms with three barred gates, top right.
