Summary
Oil painting on panel (with a central octagon), Illusionistic Trelliswork Cupola with Disporting Putti attributed to Giovanni da Udine (Udine 1487 – Rome 1564). A trompe-l'oeil ceiling painting representing an allegory of autumn. A putto is placed in each of the four corners. Two other putti are visible in the centre surrounded by leaves and grapes.

Palazzo Grimani by S. Maria Formosa, Venice; bought by William Bankes in 1849; By descent until bequeathed by (Henry John) Ralph Bankes (1902 – 1981) to the National Trust, together with the estates of Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy and its entire contents in 1981
