Detached left-hand flintlock gun mechanism from a double-barrelled sporting gun, c1800, by Durs Egg, London (active 1784 – 1820). Flat lockplate with bevelled edges, boarder engraved and with a stepped and engraved tail, the plate signed D. EGG. Flat engraved cock with bevelled edges. The frizzen with an anti-friction roller; semi-waterproof pan. The tumbler with a scroll cut bridle. Overall length: 11cm
