Eight-day English Tavern, or Act of Parliament Clock by John Hardy, London. In black lacquered tavern clock case with baluster shaped trunk, having similarly shaped trunk door with Chinese lacquer work. Single-train, four-pillar movement with anchor escapement. Handsetting a the back. Circular black lacquer dial with gilt Roman numerals and Arabic five-minute figures. Brass 'heart' hands. Signed below dial.
