Summary
A mahogany and brass bound octagonal cellarette, English, circa 1770. The hinged lid opening to reveal a later compartmented interior with traces of the original zinc liner, with three brass bands to the body and carrying handles, raised on a stand with later square section legs and block feet, brass castors.
Provenance
Bequest of the estates of Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy made to the National Trust by Henry John Ralph Bankes (1902-1981). NT ownership commenced from 19th August 1982.
