Summary
Etching, head and shoulder studies of three figures; to right, a woman seen from behind, at centre a Turkish man holding a pike over his shoulder, and to left, a young man looking up towards right, after Stefano della Bella (Florence 1610-1664), published by François Collignon (1610-87), c. 1646. Inscribed 'SDB. fec.' bottom left and numbered 39 bottom right. One of a group of seven etchings from the Recueil de divers griffonnements et preuves deau forte ('Collection of various doodles and etching proofs') published by François Collignon, cut down and mounted on watermarked paper.
