Bartolozzi Sculp. A full-length portrait of Mrs Abington as the comic Muse, standing in landscape, in classical dress with long billowing scarf and sandals, head directed and looking to right, where she is about to crown with laurel a bust of Shakespeare, on a pedestal against which is propped a lyre, a comic mask held up in her right hand, at her feet a tambourine; behind to right a tree, panpipes tied to a branch. Black and gilt frame.
