Summary
Pastel on paper, A Nymph (Summer: A Lady out of her Bath) (after Hoare of Bath) by Harriet Woodley, Mrs Thomas Pickard (1765-1844). Pastel of 'A Nymph' or 'Summer' also known as 'Lady out of the Bath' by Harriet Woodley, Mrs Pickard, after William Hoare of Bath (1707-1792). After a 1759 pastel, an example of which is at Stourhead (NT 730787). The same composition, but enlarged to half length, in oils, is at Arlington Court, Devon, with its pendant (NT 988011 & NT 988012).

In list of around 1800 and 1835 inventory; bequeathed to the National Trust by (Henry John) Ralph Bankes (1902-1981) together with the estate and entire contents of Kingston Lacy
