Summary
Pastel on paper, Girl leaning on a Pedestal (after Reynolds) by Harriet Woodley, Mrs Thomas Pickard (1765-1844). After Girl leaning on a Pedestal by Sir Joshua Reynolds, the prime version of which is in the Iveagh Bequest, Kenwood (Mannings 2072). The artist, however, seems to have copied another version which is now in a private Collection (Mannings 2073).
Provenance
In list of around 1800 as by 'Mrs Richard' [sic] and 'Mrs Pickard' in 1835 inventory; bequeathed to the National Trust by (Henry John) Ralph Bankes, Esq. (1902-1981) together with the estate and entire contents of Kingston Lacy
