This photograph was taken by James Stack Lauder (1853-1923) who founded Lafayette in Dublin in 1880 Edward VII is wearing: Orders, decorations and medals - Order of St Patrick, (Sash & Star); Order of the Bath (Star & Badge); Order of the Star of India; Order of St Michael & St George: Order of the Indian Empire; Royal Victorian Order; Queen Victoria Jubilee medal 1887 (with 1897 Jubilee bar); Volunteer Officer's decoration; Imperial Service Order; Royal Victorian chain. This official studio portrait was taken, in front of a painted backdrop, to commemorate the Royal Visit to Ireland 20 July - 2 August 1903. Margaret Greville and her husband were part of the Marlborough House set; the King was their guest at Reigate Priory and Polesden Lacey.
