Summary
Sculpture, Verona marble. An octagonal holy water stoup supported on four slender columns with a Grotesque Lion at the base. Italian School, 13th Century (Formerly outside in the West Loggia. The piece is carved with stylised icanthus leaves, geometric shapes and basket weave designs.
Provenance
(Formerly outside in the West Loggia, damaged 1980, repaired by Anna Plowden and placed in the porch in April 1981).
