Summary
A mahogany pot cupboard, English, circa 1760 - 1770. The dished top with raised three-quarter gallery, the two side pieces pierced with carry handles. The front fitted with a small cupboard behind a pair of doors, above a drawer pulling out with half of the front legs and lined with a white ceramic bowl.
Provenance
Date of acquisition not recorded; bequeathed by Margaret McEwan, The Hon. Mrs Ronald Greville (1863-1942) with Polesden Lacey, to the National Trust, in memory of her father, William McEwan (1827-1913) in 1942. Returned to Polesden Lacey from Dyrham Park in 1999.
