Summary
A walnut escritoire, or scriptor, English, late 17th/early 18th century. With a moulded cornice and a convex-fronted long drawer above a banded and featherbanded hall. A waist moulding above the chest of two short and two graduated long drawers, the rails between fitted with narrow half-round beading. On later bracket feet, which would originally have been buns.
