Summary
A satinwood-veneered demi-lune pier table, English, circa 1780. The top with a border of trailing foliated 'S'-scrolls and small flowers, inlaid with a variety of timbers against a sycamore ground. The top and frieze inlaid with dark lines. Raised on four tapering square-section legs with tapering square feet.

Date of acquisition not recorded; bequeathed by Margaret McEwan, The Hon. Mrs Ronald Greville (1863-1942) with Polesden Lacey, to the National Trust, in memory of her father, William McEwan (1827-1913) in 1942.
