Summary
A mahogany serving or hall table, English, circa 1770. The top above friezes carved with fluting. The front frieze centred by a tablet carved with a drape and a patera. On four tapering square-section legs topped by patera above a beaded collar. The tapering sections fluted and terminating in block feet.
Provenance
The bequest of Margaret (Anderson) McEwan, The Hon. Mrs Ronald - later Dame Margaret - Henry Fulke Greville, DBE (1863-1942) from probate records linked with the donation of the property to the National Trust in 1942. This item found on the record for Polesden Lacey Library, page 19.
