Summary
A breakfront commode, from a pair, in the Louis XVI style, constructed in the 19th century, with kingwood parquetry veneer, each opening with two drawers, mounted with ring handles on English porcelain medallion back-plates, the canted corners above square tapering legs.

Reputedly supplied by Duveen for Polesden Lacey. Recorded in the Study when bequeathed by Margaret McEwan, The Hon. Mrs Ronald Greville (1863-1942) with Polesden Lacey, to the National Trust, in memory of her father, William McEwan (1827-1913).
