Summary
A tan coloured leather case with beige velvet lining which opens as a triptych containing a portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Winifreda Jane Adye, Lady Armstrong (1860-1914), British (English) School. Head and shoulders portrait of a woman, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white dress, fair hair dressed high, pale blue background.
Provenance
Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
