Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Winifreda Jane Adye, Lady Armstrong (1860-1914), British (English) School. Head and shoulders portrait of a woman, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white dress, fair hair dressed high, pale blue background mounted in a tan coloured leather case with beige velvet lining which opens as a triptych.
Provenance
Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
