Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh, 2nd Marquess of Londonderry, KG, GCH, MP (1769-1822), British (English) School, possibly Edmond Brock (London 1882 - London 1952), after Sir Thomas Lawrence, PRA (Bristol 1769 – London 1830), circa 1925. A three-quarter-length portrait of Viscount Castlereagh, standing, holding papers in the left hand, attired in a green coat, white waistcoat, stock and fawn colour trousers and wearing the Order of the Garter, draped red curtain background. There is another copy of this portrait in the Goverment Art Collection by Edmond Brock (London 1882– London 1952).
