Summary
A chesterfield sofa, one of a pair, British, second quarter 20th century, the upright back flanked by out-turned armrests, on four varnished beech bun feet, the bun feet mounted on wood blocks and shepherd castors, upholstered in yellow woven fabric, with blue and cream damask loose cover (cover commissioned as part of 2015 conservation project). Stamped '2329' to the front right foot. The castors are by Archibald Kendrick & Sons Ltd who began manufacturing them in 1948.
