Summary
A polychrome-decorated mahogany and walnut serving table, low height, possibly adapted, British, late 18th century, of semi-circular form, the table top with chamfered back corners, walnut crossbanding and moulded rim, the moulded rim with painted red and white decoration on a black ground, the frieze with moulded lower rim and decorated with painted ovals depicting classical figures on a black ground, the ovals joined by painted fruiting vine swags, on four square-section tapering the collared legs, the legs painted to the front and sides with fruiting vines. The table top with a plate glass protective cover.
