Summary
An ebonized mahogany hall chair, one of a set of nine, British or Irish, late 18th century, the shaped back centred by a roundel painted with the Stewart family crest and coronet, the shaped seat with bow-front and plain seat rails, on turned and tapering front legs and slightly splayed square-section rear legs.
Provenance
Gifted to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921- 2009), 1976.
