Summary
Rectangular white glazed cushion faience box, c.1900, decorated with floral bouquets and figure of a lady seated in garden with winged messenger on lid. Lid metal mounted and hinged decorated mounting with shell shaped clasp, inscribed LILLE on base.

Gifted to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976, then erroneously inventoried as on Loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury and subsequently purchased from the Estate of Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 2012
