Oil painting on canvas, 'Hermit' with Jockey up on Epsom Downs, by Harry Hall (Cambridge 1813 - Newmarket 1882), signed and dated, Harry Hall, 1867. A portrait of a bay racehorse, standing, in profile to the left. Seated on the horse is a jockey in pink and cream livery. Epsom racecourse and grandstand are visible in the distance.

On loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009), 1976, then accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013
