Summary
One of a pair of Chelsea Kakiemon octagonal porcelain dishes, Brown Anchor period and mark, with white glazed ground. moulded with flowers and painted to the centre with a peacock beneath an encircling bird. Rust coloured floral design and floral sprigs on rims. (Sir Joshua Reynolds pattern).
Provenance
On loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976, then accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013.
