Summary
An oval metal tin of wooden jigsaw puzzle pieces, making up a picture of 'The Charge', in about 290 pieces. Probably owned by the Beale family, the original owners of Standen - there is a note inside with their name on. The tin is a Macfarlane Lang and Co's, of Glasgow and London, for biscuits and cakes, and shows a scene on the top of the only meeting of Burns and Scott in Edinburgh, 1786.
