Summary
A tapering, cylindrical beaten bronzed metal log bin with decorated lid and leather carrying straps. Probably made in Nuremburg about 1900 for the German tourist trade. It resembles a container used for grape gathering. The various beaten figures represent a man and woman in mediaeval style costume with a castle in the background, and a variety of mythical birds and animals. The lid has a brass urn-shaped knob.
