Summary
8 Day French Timepiece Mantel Clock in Mahogany Case. Circa 1900. Single train, 3 pillar pendule de Paris movement with Brocot escapement and Brocot pendulum suspension. Stamped on backplate “Ch Vene Paris” 54077”, “4.11” and with “S Marti & Cie/Medaille d’argent/1889” in medallion. 10cms dia. Convex white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic quarters with Brocot regulation at XII signed “CAMERER KUSS & CO. / 56 NEW OXFORD STREET / LONDON.” Gilt brass spade and poker hands. Mahogany breakarch case with ebony and boxwood stringing and inlay and with Sheraton style shell inlaid into front. Brass carrying handles to sides, brass bezel with convex glass over dial and brass ogee bracket feet.
