Summary
A mahogany night table, English, circa 1790. With a galleried top, three sides of which pierced with a carry handle, and with a concave dust-bead to its bottom edge. The front gallery faced as a drawer front and with a pair of brass ring handles and backplates. All above a cupboard with sliding tambour front. A commode drawer, mounted with conforming handles below, and pulling out with the front legs.
Provenance
Date of introduction to Greenway not recorded, but given to the National Trust by Mrs Rosalind Hicks (d. 2004), Anthony Hicks (d. 2005) and Mathew Prichard in 2006, and accepted in 2007.
