Summary
A mahogany clothes press, English, circa 1790, with later elements and modified (the slides in the upper section removed, and a hanging rail added). Having a dentil-moulded cornice above a pair of doors with applied concave-cornered panel mouldings and enclosing a hanging rail. The base of two short over four graduated long drawers, all cockbeaded and fitted with later brass handles and backplates. The pair of short drawers and the two upper long drawers all false, with hanging space behind. The back of paneled oak.

Date of introduction to Greenway not recorded, but given to the National Trust by Mrs Rosalind Hicks (d. 2004), Anthony Hicks (d. 2005) and Mathew Prichard in 2006, and accepted in 2007.
