Summary
Unsigned French carriage timepiece in original numbered travelling case. Spring-driven movement with four finned pillars, replacement Swiss lever platform escapement, stopwork to the going-barrel, and stamped with the serial number '6518' on the backplate, also stamped 'Y' and '18' inside the front plate. White enamel dial with black Roman hour numerals, dashed minute track and blued-steel Breguet-style hands. Glazed, moulded case with fluted handle, engraved 'C.M. MILLER' on the lower front. Wood carcass, leather-covered carrying case with purple velvet lining, the serial number applied to the bottom with gold-painted numbers.
