Summary
A mahogany washstand with inlaid holly and ebonised stringing, English, circa 1780. The twin hinged top opening from the centre and enclosing an adjustable mirror and compartmented interior, above drawers to the front including a fitted bidet drawer and raised on square section tapered legs and castors.

Included in a bequest of various pieces of furniture from Miss. G. M. G. Milburn to Beningbrough Hall in 1989.
