Summary
Spear with curving steel blade rivetted to a socket etched with imbricated lozenges between narrow broders of palmettes on overlapping cupsed lines. The reinforcement plate is chased with addorsed birds whose tails combine and fan out into palmette. The ferrule with one node a the mid point. Wooden shaft. Tanjore, 18th century.
