Summary
A rectangular black leather covered box with a hinged lid, well worn. There is evidence of a missing handle on the lid. A circular brass lock on the front is inscribed in gold , in gothic script, M.B.G. The lid contains a black concertina pocket lined with two compartments of green silk. The clasp in the middle of the flap has a broken spring . The two brass hinges are inscribed, B and Co IMPROVED. The lock plate is marked, PATENT S. MORDAN and Co LONDON. Bottom half of the box lined with green felt. Inside the box are three beads, piece of gilt picture mould, fine feather, wooden brace and an inset dark coloured semi-precious stone.
