Summary
Lead, An Arcadian Shepherd playing Bagpipes by workshop of John Nost II (d. London 1729). One of four Archadian shepherds/sheperdesses. Standing figure of an Arcadian sherpherd playing bagpipes, from the workshop of John Van Nost (d.1729). He wears a broad brimmed hat turned up over his left eye, and three-quarter length skirted coat with cross hatched belt. Dog jumps to his right leg. Part of listed building - Grade I - Orangery Terrace at Powis Castle (16776)

Amongst the sculpture within the grounds of Powis Castle and Gardens and part of the original bequest of the property in 1952.
